The importance of heart to heart meetings

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Up early and watched the news about interest rate rise to 5% – a killer for those on mortgages, and about the sad deaths of 5 people in the submersible craft doing extreme tourism to visit the Titanic.  I consumed two coffees and two pies of toast. We buy our bread from Glastonbury when we visit.  I have come to the conclusion that if you may less than £4 per load you are getting rubbish ingredients.  Bread is or should be a food. I dont want round-up, Glyophosphate included. My body does not like it.  I don’t ‘do’ slow motion poisoning.

I have an 11am meeting with a friend. We share the same interests.  To prepare for this I did an I Ching ( ichingonline.net). It is composed of 64 Hexagrams which contain knowledge and wisdom about the question. I do not know how it works.   This is what I got when I thought about the idea of sharing thoughts.

There is a Source common to us all.
Jung named it the Collective Unconscious.
Others hail it as God within.
Inside each of us are dreamlike symbols and archetypes, emotions and instincts that we share with every other human being.
When we feel a lonely separateness from others, it is not because this Well within has dried up, but because we have lost the means to reach its waters.
You need to reclaim the tools necessary to penetrate to the depths of your fellows.
Then the bonds you build will be as timeless and inexhaustible as the Well that nourishes them.

A reference to the talk will be published her in due course.

This afternoon, off to an unknown job in Westfield. I had been called nearly three weeks ago but did not respond. I got a call yesterday reminding me. We set off, not  knowing what we were going to find. We found a small workers two up and two down behind which was a small service road. Beyond that was a long garden. Weeds and grass were thigh height though not as bad as yesterdays example. I quoted and off we went. The couple were both incapacitated. Both had had heart attacks.

He was 82 years of age. She was slightly younger but of course you do not ask a lady her age.  She was surrounded by a chemists shop’s worth of medication which she said she ‘hated’ taking but did so never the less. She had not been out in the garden since ‘last year’. He could manager it with a walking frame and / or a stick. We enjoyed the job and used a combination of strimmer and mower.

Back in the evenig. Bought some organic white wine. Cheap at £6.50. It had no sulphites. I did not get the bad head I normally get when drinking wine.

When I was in Sainsbury’s supermarket buying the wine, too small incidents happened which amused me. I saw a lady customer wearing a lovely blue outfit and told her that the dress was very attractive. She appeared to only half notice what I said and I was emboldened to say, ‘that was a compliment’. She still not could not cope with it and was in some sort of shock  and I told her that she was suspicious of the compliment and there was nothing behind it.

The second amusing incident was a young member of staff of about six feet two was from his body language appeared a supervisor or manager. I said that he looked an acted very much like a manager and if he wishes he could tell people he was one then he would get away with it. He joked that he could act as a manager and I said yes he could.
