Happy July to you, I wonder if you are looking forward to a vacation, or a ‘staycation’, a term apparently used back in the 1940s but which became common in the Pandemic.
This week I have had the chance to ponder the subject of REST.
However you plan to use your summer, I wish you a wonderful one. I have just returned from a week in Croatia with the family, our first time there and it was beautiful.
REST is important, it is a subject that Hannah Power, our daughter and my Performance Coach, has worked with me on for sometime and, gradually, I am adopting the understanding of the importance of rest. Understanding that rest is not a luxury, it is a necessity for performance.
Hannah has read the most amazing books over the past 7 years that have shaped her thinking, as well as her own life experiences and choices made. The balance and success we now witness in her is so inspiring and I choose to learn from her daily.
Within our Community, BIP100, Hannah runs weekly Flow coaching sessions which are very powerful. Now and over the summer, I would like to encourage you to listen to her ‘Flow with Hannah’ podcast. The podcast is receiving great reviews and we are loving it, Hannah is distilling all the amazing books and her own knowledge and also interviewing incredible Authors. On Episode 4, she interviews the Author of ‘Rest: Why You Get More Done When You Work Less’, Alex Soojung-Kim Pang, who is a global influencer on the subject of the Four Day week. It is a brilliant interview and should inspire you all to rest.
Hannah is a Personal Brand Coach, it is through her extensive coaching that she has witnessed the way many business people exhaust themselves out of creativity and flow. I have been a prime example of this in life.
