Heart Attack I heard of someone who had a heart attack last week. Before I go on. What does having a heart attack mean? We are used to using the word in the sense of someone attacking someone else in other words violating their privacy or causing them physical harm. I find a term attack a little bit confusing for those reason. Anyway, he did not feel well and started to get pain in the chest. Because he was aware of his own body he checked to see if it was not another factor and then when he realized it was indeed an attack the wife drove him to the nearest hospital who in their turn blue lighted him to the nearest specialist hospital.
He was seen immediately on entry and stents were placed suitably to deal with the condition. The day after the operation an orderly advised him that there had been no damage to the heart due to his prompt action. This was certainly a lesson for me not to ignore symptoms on the grounds that I don’t want to bother people or that it will probably go away.
