My new web site moves forward – there comes a time….

An unexpected exposure to an extreme disfigurement

A very busy day today before I start, I’ve been watching a program on neuro fibromyalgics and this wonderful  lady from Trinidad is going to go to Los Angeles to be treated for this condition which covers her whole body.

She inherited this disease from her father, and at the age of 45 the condition covers her whole body. She has found a wonderful doctor who says he cannot but help her and arranged  24 operating procedures over a period of 10 days. The first operation lasted 13 hours. Now,  that is dedication.

I will never complain about small unsightly marks on my body again.

My website is finally working and ready.

Anyway I have finished my provisions for delivering my new website to the wide world this coming weekend. 500 leaflets have arrived. I ordered them on their website Sunday evening and they arrived Tuesday afternoon.  Cost was £58.55 for 500 copies A4 folded including delivery. Beat that!   I used fancy paper to give some more authority. The firm is Solopress.com and I thoroughly recommend them.

I have learned a number of things, or being reminded of them, about presentation. What ever you do,  you need to do two processes; beta testing and then asking the cohort, in other words the people who are going to read and hopefully benefit from your website, what they think the priorities are and does the look and feel work for them.

I did use AI (Co-pilot) to cut down on words and I know it’s a robotic system but it it’s very good at retaining the sense and taking out the clutter. You are doing very well if you get anyone to read anything these days

This website is definitely not a selling one. I am rejuvenating a site that is 10 years old and basically have decided to start afresh. My decision was to present the bare bones of the service and not to add on too many whistles and bells top try and impress people. .

The point is that the consumer on seeing the site does not want to be faced with a ‘take it or leave it’ site but wants to be offered a project that they can take part in and help to shape. It should be something like playing tennis, You serve, they respond.

If you put a site out there and no one responds there is no point in beating yourself up and saying ‘nobody loves me’. It is more likely that you did not consult with the right people.

I have started many ideas in my life and the ones that were not successful were those that I considered were so good that anyone with any of common sense would immediately drop what they were doing, bow down and sign up and take part.

The websites that I have done almost made themselves. By that I mean that when I got the idea, or more like received it through inspiration, I acted straight away and thus plugged in to  the power of the universe.

I can say that applied to my covid site, my 5G site and my BrianSnellgrove diary site. There was definitely a voice or an impulse that spoke to me telling me what to do. This weekend I shall announce the site and get people at the event to look at it,.

I will listen very carefully to what they have to say about what they would like to see as features. Later on I will publish the name of the site so you have a look but it’s better that people don’t see it at the moment.

My first big networking project was when I was 26 years of age.  I am now 81 so that means 56 years have passed and I’m still going strong and actually loving it more.

Us Geminis never get bored. We may well drive our partners mad but that’s another story.
