Leaving for an unknown journey without any pre-cognition or information about what is going to happen.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, I leave for a trip where I stay three nights in a hotel in Torquay, which is on the south coast of England. We shall travel via a hotel in Plymouth, where we will stay on Tuesday night. I previously got an impulse I should write a book or at least a long blog about the people I meet during the winter or perhaps meet people in general to see what they think of living here in a seaside town, particularly in the off-season.
I hope to be continuing the theme of my book Secrets of Village Life in Somerset. I have had some leaflets printed saying that a book is going to be published, and does anyone want to contribute? I have no idea who I’m going to talk to or if any of the people I talk to will be at all interested or in general, what the reaction will be. Contrary to my normal plan when going on the coach tour organised by Just Go, I’ve decided to drive down there because it’s only a hundred miles or so, and we can do stuff on the way there and the way back, which we couldn’t do if I was going by coach.
Also the coach journey tends to take a long time by coach because we have to stop off at various points along the way and also to allow the driver is statutory rest times. We normally use dowsing to find the best time, and as we got closer to the day, the weather is scheduled to be good with very few days of rain. The wind is another matter, so we shall have very lively winds on Wednesday, maximum 40 miles an hour, which will be exciting. So I leave my visit in the hands of synchronicity and the powers that be. So a new book or at least a blog will be on its way shortly.
Watch this space.
