Dear readers I don’t know how many of you are into esoteric stuff, energies, astrology but I found this very helpful indeed with adapting your state of mind to new circumstances please enjoy it it’s only 24:59 The illustrations are very good indeed.

Changes in the work place?

Today’s entry is motivated by someone who wrote to me this morning saying that another company was going to take over their services. The partner and the writer had not been able to come to an agreement and so a new home was found for my service, let’s put it that way.

Death and taxes are  inescapable factors in this life; death and change is part of nature like when a snake sheds its skin. The skin served a purpose for a time and then because of the growth of the snake the skin or this particular version of it was redundant.Life and death is built in to our bodies.

Organizations can thrive in one era and then they find themselves going out of favor; this may be because these skill set of the management not to mention the ethos of the company has reacted in various ways to changes in the world and a toolbox that worked five years ago now no longer functions. The clever thing is to spot the falling demand and get out.

That was more difficult with market ‘crashes’ and events such as covid. Sometimes you have to rely on instinct. I trust my instinct with any matters of travelling and so far it has never let me down.

In our local community field run by a group of 12 people I heard that two people had disagreed with the way things were run and they resigned. This was probably the most honorable and wise thing they could do because they will be replaced by ‘new blood’ which will hopefully be a more accurate reflection on what their community will require in the future.

I have met quite a few people who have been in the same job for 30 years and you could say the spark of enthusiasm has long since departed – with a few glorious exceptions. They stay in their position because ‘better the devil you know’  etc  sometimes a particular event will trigger the realization in an employee or associate that their time has come to an end.

Circumstances not personalities

It could be one demand too much or it could be a change of circumstance which makes the subject uncomfortable or feeling inappropriate. This chopping and changing seems to be to be consistent with what happens in nature so I don’t see any particular threat and I do not think it is necessarily anyone’s fault but it is just that the circumstances have changed, or the chemistry has changed, and it is time to move on.

It’s the same with marriages. Sometimes the circumstances are too much for the couple to bear and they can no longer function together as a couple. It’s not like they are bad people. They have been defeated by circumstances

One thing I have learned over the years indeed decades is that no one is indispensable. Nature abhors a vacuum and there is a strange invisible synchronistic mechanism which means that another person will pop in when most needed, sometimes appearing ‘from nowhere’.

The worst thing that can happen is that an organization grinds to a halt because the  cause of the tension has not been faced and it rots the infrastructure of the whole venture like a cancer.

I have noticed this in government departments where once you are hired it is virtually impossible to get rid of the person.
