Every human being carries two winds within them at all times: the wind of life and the wind of error. The wind of error isn’t simply another name for sin; it’s described as a parasite, calculated and intentional, with clear points of entry. It enters through greed. It enters through the eyes when they linger where they shouldn’t. It enters through the mouth when it tells lies. And once it takes hold, it doesn’t just darken a person. It creates a walking grave.
For some reason this hit me like a ton of bricks. So sad that our language has been formularised and the poetry which all language should be has been decimated.
